At 26, Phillip adapted COVER ME from the novel by Mark Arnold, directing Danny Trejo, Jesse Metcalfe, Jaci Velasquez, and T.C. Stallings in his first fictional feature-length film.
During the Pandemic, Phillip and his wife, writer/actress Leah Bateman began production on a feature-length musical called WHERE WERE YOU. With songs they wrote together about their own lives, the project is dear to their hearts and inspired by their story.
Phillip partnered up with director Franklin Fuentes to produce a dark comedy short that takes place in upstate New York in the 1930's. He acts alongside Amanda Graeff.
In 2010, Phillip and his film school partners embarked on a dangerous journey through Latin America to research for their screenplay about sex trafficking. To hide their motives, they traveled with a Mexican circus, uncovering a profound cause of the sex industry and documenting the whole thing.
By total coincidence, both Phillip and ON HER LIPS partner Franklin Fuentes were in San Francisco when Fuentes unknowingly snapped the last known photo of a wanted man.
